Redknapp Dismisses Ba Reports & Slams QPR Player Wages

Press reports today suggest that Queens Park Rangers have laid an £80k a week contract on the table for Newcastle United striker Demba Ba, but that the Senegal International is set to turn it down. Ba has already been linked to Arsenal in the last week or so after apparently suggesting they should come and get him, a report which was denied as comments being lost in translation.
Queens Park Rangers are currently 19th in the Premier League with just one win under their belt from 18 games. Yesterday QPR manager Harry Redknapp slammed the amount of money some of his players are earning for their poor performances.
After the Newcastle game he said;
"I don't want to spend their [the club's] money, to be honest with you.
There are a lot of players at this club who earn far too much money for what they are; far, far, far too much money for their ability and what they give to the club.
I don't really want to see the owners have their pants taken down like they have in the past. There's a lot of agents made money out of them.
I fined a player last week and he was earning more than any player earned at Tottenham.
You shouldn't be paying massive wages when you've got a stadium that holds 18,000 people.
This club [Newcastle] holds 52,000 and most of their players will be nowhere near some of the wages some of the players are earning here."
In line with these comments it seems unfeasible that the club would offer £80,000 a week for Ba. That said, if he does then it would be confirmed that it’s all about the money.
Ba has a £7.5million release clause in his contract and is expected to leave in January, Harry added;
"We've not got £7million to spend on a player, I'd have thought."
