Pardew Slams 'Agents' In Ba Saga

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has slammed so called 'agents' for their involvement in the Demba Ba saga, after it was revealled that he has between 4 and 6 'representatives' wanting a slice of the transfer fee should he be sold. Rumour also has it that they were pushing for another release clause, like his current one, to be added into any deal. Talks stalled with Chelsea last night after 'add-ons' bumped up the cost of the Senegal International, who was said to have been offered in excess of £80,000 a week plus bonuses.
Pardew sympathised with Ba's situation and said;
"In some respects, I feel a little bit sorry for Demba as well because I think people who are representing him are not actually representing him.
There are people out there who are saying this who are not actually involved or want to be involved, and that's the sort of world we are in.
The contract is what it is, we are all aware of that, and for me as the manager I need it resolved as quickly as possible. That's the best situation for our fans and for the club."
Confirming that Ba will be named in the squad to face Everton on Wednesday he added;
"One thing I don't have to worry about is Demba's mental state. He is one of the strongest footballers I have ever come across.
We have been brilliant for him. I hope he rewards us by staying for another couple of years."
