Player Profile: Loic Remy - Newcastle In Advanced Talks

Newcastle United are reported to be in advanced talks with Marseille over an offer for striker Loïc Rémy. The 26 year old has scored just once this season in 14 Ligue1 games, but is being chased by Newcastle, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham who are rumoured to have already made a cash, plus player, offer back in December.  

Overall however, Rémy has scored 39 goals in 95 appearances for domestic clubs and his transfer fee is expected to be in excess of £10million. He predominately plays as a lead striker but is versatile on the pitch and made his senior international debut with France in June 2009.

Reports in France suggest that since the confirmation that Demba Ba was granted permission to talk to Chelsea, Newcastle have pushed to develop negotiations with Marseille.

Let's just wait and see we have been in this position so many times before but hopefully something positive will develop.
