Loic Remy Turns Down QPR
By Tyne-Talk
January 6 2013
L'Equipe are reporting that Marseille striker Loic Remy has rejected a move to Queens Park Rangers. The Newcastle United target has been subject to much speculation in recent days, which intensified when Marseille president Vincent Labrune travelled to London earlier this week. Just days later QPR manager Harry Redknapp travelled to France and was today in the directors box to see Marseille play Guingamp in the French Cup.
Marseille's sports director Jose Anigo confirmed they would let Remy leave if a suitable offer came in. Earlier this week he said;
"The only window we could open this winter is for Loic Remy. If a big club comes and is interested then we will see. Apart from Remy nobody else will leave."

Why would he want to go to a team rooted at the bottom... as a newcastle fan i would say he even wouldnt come to the toon... could be holding out for a spurs type team ... would love him tho

If he does not come we still need at least one striker and a hatful of defenders!

It seems Inter will only take him on loan until the end of the season.

we seem to be in pole position to sign him but that goes for nothing until he's actually signed the contract

It would be great if we could get him.
I just hope there's a lot of negotiations going on for 4 or 5 players and we need to sign them and get them playing as soon as podssible.

Players like Mvilla should stop hoping one of the top 5 prem clubs will come in for them when they move and take the chance by moving to the premiership playing every week and if they impress the big boys will soon come running look at Demba Ba

M'Villa is available for a knock down price and could probably be tempted by a move to Newcastle as part of the french revolution but a number of football experts and journalists are questioning his attitude and saying what a disruptive influence he is!

He's only started 2 leagues matches this season, but he's scored a goal in one of them.
If we look France's 3 domestic compeitions, plus the Europa League, he has started 10 matches, scored 3 goals and had 1 assist. He turned 26 on January 2.
