Coloccini Gone AWOL? Reports Suggest He Has Walked!

The Independent is reporting today that Newcastle United Captain Fabricio Coloccini has walked out on the club, hopped on a flight and has now returned to Argentina. Talks were held yesterday between club and player after he expressed a need to leave to be with his family, earlier this month. However, San Lorenzo, the club his father works for in Argentina, who had been chasing his signature for free, confirmed yesterday that a deal to release the 31 year old from his contract had collapsed. However Newcastle have failed to comment on the outcome.
San Lorenzo confirmed the news the move had fallen through by tweeting;
"Finally, after long negotiations, we announce that Fabricio Coloccini will not join the roster of San Lorenzo. It is not possible to release the Newcastle player, and therefore the club will look for another alternative to strengthen the defence."
However, reports coming out now suggest that Coloccini has now refused to play another game for Newcastle and left the country, which would indicate he has got AWOL unless the club have granted him compassionate leave on the belief that he will return.
Coloccini has been named in Argentina's International side to face Sweden on 6th February.

Again southern media stirring the @#$%&.
Obviously the southern media clutching at straws again trying to cause unrest up north.
