Tiote Scores But Is Returning To Newcastle

By Tyne-Talk

Newcastle United midfielder Cheik Tiote will return to Newcastle after the Ivory Coast were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations by Nigeria. Nigeria took the lead in the 43rd minute before Tiote scored with a header in the 50th to make it 1-1. Nigeria took the lead once more in the second half (78th minute) and will now go through to the semi-final against Mali.

Tiote could, at a push, now be available for Newcastle's game against Tottenham on Saturday lunchtime.
