GOOD NEWS: No Broken Leg For Newcastle's Yoan Gouffran

Newcastle United have confirmed that the X-ray on Yoan Gouffran's leg has shown that it is not broken. Pardew said earlier today that the doctor who attended to the 26 year old on the pitch was 50-50 as to whether ot not he had damaged the bone at the time of the injury. Gouffran went down holding his ankle in the 54th minute and spent 6 minutes receiving treatment on the pitch before being stretchered off.
Pardew said after the game;
"He's had an impact on his shin which was a nasty gash, he'd have probably come off with a gash anyway but it's whether there's any bone damage.
He's gone for an X-ray and we cross our fingers that comes back okay. I haven't seen it back. I think when you see a big gash it disturbs you as a player.
The doctor was 50-50 from his experience of looking at it."
The club have since released the following statement;
"Newcastle United are pleased to report that a precautionary X-ray has shown that Yoan Gouffran has not broken his right leg.
The French forward was stretchered off during the second half of Saturdays 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, and Gouffran will be further assessed on Sunday by the Club;s medical staff."
Newcastle now have a 14 day break from Premier League fixtures, but have two games against Metalist coming up.

Hopefully this isn't a bad injury and the 14 days off will give him enough of a break to at least make the bench.
Im not getting into the new player love in, but Gouffran has really impressed. He really puts himself about on the pitch but is technically very good.
