John Carver Charged By FA For Misconduct

Newcastle United Assistant manager John Carver has been charged by the FA for misconduct during the game against Wigan on Sunday. Carver headed for Wigan striker Callum McManaman as the player headed towards the tunnel, only to have his plans scuppered by Wigan coach Graham Barrow who pushed him away. Both were sent to the stands for the 2nd half.
Newcastle made the following statement;
“Newcastle United have just received notification that assistant manager John Carver has been charged with misconduct by the FA in relation to an incident at half-time during Sunday’s Barclays Premier League fixture at Wigan.
John Carver has until 4pm on Friday 22nd March, to respond to the FA charge.”

I feel sorry for John Carver as he must have been as infuriated as all Newcastle supporters watching McManaman's tackle.
But he does deserve to be punished for his aggressive behaviour. Not to punish him would be to send the wrong message to all concerned with each match.

But the linesman saw the incident! They can't punish him retroactively!
