NUFC Statement: Banning Orders Will Be Imposed

Newcastle United have condemned the behaviour of so called fans after the Tyne-Wear derby yesterday afternoon. Northumbria Police have arrested 29 people so far and are expecting to make further arrests throughout the duration of their investigation. The Club have fully supported the police and will continue to do so. Earlier today they released the following statement;

"We were embarrassed and appalled by the behaviour of a minority of so-called fans who last night were involved in disturbances and disorder in Newcastle city centre after the match.

Newcastle United have been working with Northumbria Police, and will continue to do so, in order to identify all of the individuals concerned.

The club will take the strongest possible action against those involved in the disturbances and will impose immediate lifetime bans on all those found guilty.

These deplorable individuals have no place at Newcastle United and bring shame on the club and the vast majority of its proper, law-abiding, fans."

Good. Although I've heard a large number didn't even go the match and had been watching in town, just gone along to pick a fight. Kn*bs.

Yeah I fully support this, people who just go into own to cause trouble should be banned, but if their there to cause trouble without even going into the stadium how will it stop them?

Get rid of these idiots let's hope that is an end to it and we can focus on the team staying in the Premiership!

unfortunately there seems to be a rogue element of supposed NUFC supporters causing more and more trouble at the minute, trashing Wigan Cosmo's ground, throwing bricks at the Benfica buses and now this!
