Steve Harper will captain the side today as he bids farewell to St James' Park in his final game for the club. As fate would have it Harper gets to play infront of the sell out crowd after Rob Elliot sustained an injury against QPR last weekend. That means Jak Alnwick is on the bench alongside Danny Simpson, James Perch and Sylvain Marveaux, whilst Steven Taylor returns to the back four after an illness which prevented him from playing last weekend and Yoan Gouffran starts up front alongside Papiss Cisse.
