Llambias Confirms Pardew's Future Is Safe

After all the speculation earlier this week, Newcastle United have now confirmed that Alan Pardew is safe in his job as manager at the club. Managing Director Derek Llambias said this afternoon that the discussions held on Wednesday were constructive and that the priority is to maintain the stability at the club.
Llambias said;
"Everyone connected with the club was disappointed to finish where we did last season, particularly on the back of such a fantastic year prior to that.
Our discussions on Wednesday were very constructive and we pinpointed a number of factors that contributed to a season which fell below expectations.
We are now looking forward and are entirely focused on the forthcoming campaign, with the expectation of at least a top-10 finish in the Premier League. There has been a great deal of speculation in recent weeks but our desire, as we announced back in September, is to bring long-term stability to this club.
It's up to us all now to work closely as a team to ensure next season sees us competing in the top half of the table again. We would all like to thank the fans for their continued support and assure them we remain committed to providing affordable football at St James' Park."
So now that is sorted the club can focus on strengthening the squad with some new players to assist them in getting back into the top half of the Premier League.

Having said that I agree I hope they don't do something stupid like sacking him in oct/nov , he should be gone now or a few weeks ago after some of the performances witnessed at st James' so that the new manager gets to asses the team and have a full pre season but they've decided to stick with less than mediocre , so might as well see it through now
