San Lorenzo Finally Accept The Reality Of Colo Situation

Fabricio Coloccini’s proposed move from Newcastle United to San Lorenzo is looking less and less likely after the club confirmed that its wealthy investors are not keen on investing in an older player, instead preferring younger talent. 

Coloccini, who was absent from the Argentina line up on Friday evening has been linked with the club his father works at for the last 9 months, but has three years left on his contract at Newcastle United, who will not lower their asking price.

The most recent interview to come from yet another club insider at San Lorenzo said the following;

"The people who can help us don't want to invest in Coloccini. They feel that the money could bring in a number of younger players instead.

And that's how it would be spent. It now looks impossible that Coloccini could play here next season. It looks like the end of the story. Even big clubs like Boca Juniors and River Plate are struggling financially here."

This statement seems to be more realistic than the others we have reported on over the months, which have been far fetched and seemed to be released to deliberately unsettle the defender.

Newcastle are expected to hold talks with captain Colo next month.
