Newcastle Sign Young Midfielder

Newcastle United are reported to have agreed a deal for FC Metz midfielder Olivier Keman, subject to a medical at the club. The 16 year old is said to have signed a long term deal and will progress his career under the guidance of Peter Beardsley. 

Keman played three games for the U17 French International side in September last year, with 13 minutes against Greece, 34 against Slovenia and 65 in France's 3-1 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

He is being reported as a striker, but the UEFA site lists him as a midfielder.
