Rumour Has It: Carroll's In Newcastle & Could Stay There!
By Tyne-Talk June 18 2013
There are reports in the North East this evening that despite being scheduled to have a medical at West Ham tomorrow, Andy Carroll could in-fact be on his way back to Newcastle United. The 24 year old had reportedly agreed a six year deal worth £17million (inclusive of add-ons) and £100k a week with West Ham, pending the results of an extensive medical.
Despite reports yesterday that Carroll was in London ahead of his medical, he was still in Newcastle and yet to travel down to the Capital. What with this, the fact that this medical was meant to be today, yet it is now tomorrow, and he has been extremely reluctant to make any comment on a permanent move to The Hammers, there may be some truth in the rumour.
I must admit, I have sort of changed my mind several times over Carroll. I was very bitter when he left, then I was asked to write an article on it for the local press, and I realised the main reason I was bitter, was becuase I felt let down.
He was the dream a local lad made number 9, for every goal he scored it was like a much more talented version of me.
So I forgive him eventually, and would welcome him back gladlly now, however the price must be he never gets the number 9 shirt again.

Would welcome him back home in a heartbeat. Love this boy he'd be forgiven instantly. If he early it again I've no problem with having the number 9 back either

Now don't you feel really silly listening to rumors from the third cousin of the uncle who had a friend who works for the brother of the bloke who was in the pub. Andy has already sent texts to his West Ham team mates that they have him for 6 years. How he supposedly landed at Heathrow and got to Newcastle then straight back down to London and took a medical all in afew hours is only possible if his buddy Superman gave him a ride on his cape.
Face it Carroll is too good for nufc now , sadly any player who shows signs of promise is always going to be poached as let's face it we can't even compete with half the championship on wages /fees hence why we go to France/holland where players wages are much cheaper then give them a crack at the prem if they prove their worth they get a dream move to a big club if they don't they are still being paid slightly more than at their previous club it's win win for both player and mike Ashley and nufc as a business but we the fans and as a football team lose out and have little ambition 😢

I understand in the midst of having that walking embarrassment return as director of football it was worth having a shot a cheering us all up but could you have at least invented something that lasted more than 10 minutes. Now I am twice as depressed!
sorry none of the swearing was directed at you (I am half assuming you know this but as I have gathered yet another fatwa tonight for meerely sugeesting bacon is ok and if mohamad had just chilled out and @#$%& a couple of prositutes while munching on a bacon sarnie the world may be a bettter place. I have decided to explian things, slowly and occasionly with picuters, now what does mohammd look like i've cartoons te draw.

Go to West Hams owner, @DavidGoldWHU at Twitter, he says they brought the medical forward to this evening, and he is happy to say, Andy passed with flying colours. Too much hope and Newcastle Brown being downed on this site tonight. £15.5mill + £2mill in add ons, + the £2mill they paid for his loan,
Total £19.5mill. Even your new dictator Joke In Ear, could'nt match that.
I think the biggest joke of them all here is Carroll managing to pass a medical, once he's recovered from his current injury I give him a month before he's injured again!
to all the west ham fans gloating on here, just remind yourself its taken you this long to sign him because he's been waiting for nufc to show an interest, we publicly said we weren't so Carroll decided west ham was better than going back to liverpool and we could have signed him for a lot less than 100k a week

Anyone of a certian age may remember this.
' he's only a poor little hammer
clothes all ragged and torn.
He came for a fight,
so we set him alight
Aww, bless you Dave
And those same people of a certain age should also remember how few you brought to Upton Park next time and the grief you got. There were as many of us in your away section as you. I know plenty of your proper fellas, good lads, & them and us look back on the petrol bomb as a bit embarrassing. FFS we were warming our hands on it you silly boy.
Would have loved Andy Carroll to come back to St .James Park but not at the figures mentioned. 80k a week is too much for a player of his injury record. Good luck to him, I'm sure he will do well at West Ham. Just glad he has signed early already so we can now focus on other targets and fans don't have to discuss where is going anymore.
Fair play to the lad, his agent must be a belta. To get a pay rise on his Pool wages after spending a good chunk injured is good going.
I wanted to take him back but his injuries really worried me. If it is up to 19.5 and 80-100k a week then that is just too much. Then again, if he stays fit.....
Not sure why you Hammers are gloating. Its just a rumor thread and after you bid for him (three or four weeks ago), it was clear that we were not going to touch him. It was like when we bid for Owen when he was at Madrid. Others were looking but we came in first and scared them all off. Lets hope for the Hammers he turns out a little better. I would forgive any player who chose a team second over his boyhood club.
