Player Profile: NUFC Target Younes Belhanda

Montpellier Chairman Louis Nicollin has confirmed that the club have received two “concrete offers” for midfielder Younes Belhanda, both of which the club have agreed to. Nicollin told the clubs Twitter page that it was now down to the 23 year old to decide which of the two clubs he would like to go to.
Belhanda has been linked with both Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but the Montpellier chairman has declined to confirm which clubs they have liaised with.
Belhanda played for France Under 20’s before making his debut for Morocco in 2010 against Northern Ireland. He made his domestic debut on the first game of the season for Montpellier in 2010 and has since become a regular in the side due to his ability to perform both an attacking midfield and defensive midfield position, depending on what is required.
As a result he scores goals but also picked up 6 yellow cards and 1 red last season across the domestic competitions and has picked up 5 red cards in his career.
