Cisse, Ben Arfa & Coloccini All Miss Out

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has not named Papiss Cisse in this afternoon's side to face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. Hatem Ben Arfa is also absent, whilst Fabricio Coloccini is suspended after his mid-week red card. Williamson comes in for Coloccini, with Shola Ameobi and Yoan Gouffran both starting upfront. Haris Vuckic and Adam Campbell start on the bench alongside Sammy Ameobi.

Despite Pardew confirming in midweek that he would be dropping players for the game, Cisse's absence, even on the bench, comes as a surpise as he is yet to play a pre-season game and will fuel on-going speculation that despite agreeing to wear the shirt, the club could still be looking to move him on.

The official line is that Cisse and Ben Arfa were left behind to build up their fitness.

you can see why cisse isn't involved today, it'd be a bit much his first match after the recent events being in the wonga off, im sure he'll be involved in the sports direct shield!
