HT: St Mirren 0 - 2 Newcastle United - Cisse & Debuchy Score

Newcastle United take to half time 2-0 up against St Mirren after goals from Papiss Cisse and Mathieu Debuchy. Cisse sealed his return to the team having missed all other preseason games, by scoring in the 19th minute of the game, after a nice bit of play involving Paul Dummett and Sammy Ameobi, before Debuchy put the ball in the back of the net in the 26th minute, his first goal for the club. 

There was an injury scare for Anita in the 6th minute after he was fouled by Thomas Reilly in a challenge which in any other game would have seen the first yellow card introduced. He received treatment before returning to the field and went on to set up Debuchy’s goal.

St Mirren haven’t been entirely without chances but those they have had have failed to challenge Rob Elliot.
