Team Line-Ups/Match Thread: Newcastle Utd v SC Braga

Newcastle United host SC Braga this evening in their final game of the pre-season. Rob Elliot starts the game ahead of Tim Krul whilst Steven Taylor, Yohan Cabaye and Dan Gosling all drop the bench where they are joined by Gabriel Obertan. Shola Ameobi, who has scored 4 goals in his 5 pre-season game’s partners Papiss Cisse upfront. Loic Remy is not fit for the game and as expected was not named; however he could be on the bench for Newcastle’s opening game of the season against Manchester City.

A penalty to Braga in the 45' sees them 1-0 up at halt time. Pardo was definitely looking for it and Debuchy once he had stuck his foot out was always going to be punished.....not helped by Pardos rolling around like he has been tackled hard afterwards
