Player Profile: Alessandro Matri

Newcastle United have been linked with Juventus striker Alessandro Matri, with the club not wishing to stand in the way of the player leaving. The 28 year old who turns 29 tomorrow has a proven goal scoring record and looks like he could be an ideal addition to the club.
The reports come on the back of his agent Tullio Tinti saying that his player could leave over the summer with interest from several clubs. Tinti said;
“I can't exclude the possibility that Alessandro will leave Juventus during this transfer session.
There is strong interest in him from Russian clubs, but we also have a number of options in order to continue his career in Italy."
Everton are also reported to be interested and with the sum rumoured to be of aroound £6million Newcastle will need to move fast and commit to a deal if they are to secure this signing.
