Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse recently invited 8 young fans and their parents to his house for a BBQ, games of Fifa and Pool and offered them all signed merchandise. He told the Chronicle that he had been suprised by the number of young fans when he originally signed for Newcastle and felt that it is his duty to make them happy.
He said;
"I wanted to spend more time with my fans. They are very important to me. I have missed them over the summer so I wanted to see them again at the start of the season. It is a gift for them at the start of the season.
For me it is an obligation, a duty if you like. To me when I pull on the shirt it is for the fans.
When I first came here I didn’t realise so many kids and so many fans would feel the way they do about me.
Now my duty is to make them happy for as long as I can do it."

Its not the first time apparently, just the other times have been done in private.
When he first arrived he was spotted in a barbers, he then spent 5 hours chatting to people and signing autographs, I think he is one of the rare nice guys left in the sport.
