C1C NUFC v Leeds Date Confirmed

Newcastle United will host Leeds United on Wednesday 25th September in the third round of the Capital One (league) Cup. The game is a 7.45pm Kick Off at St James' Park. The game clashes with Manchester United v Liverpool so is unlikley to be televised, with Sky picking up the United game.
Information on tickets will be announced on the official site shortly.

The atmosphere should be good. It'll feel like a big match. Two great old stalwart clubs, with massive fan bases. And to top it all, Newcastle should win it comfortably. Hope for a semi-final place. We haven't been in a semi-final since the FA Cup 2004-05, when Souness took us to the FA Cup semi-final. It is after all a top-four spot.

It should be a good match Carys let's hope we can find a good stream.
You have to think that if a team like Wigan can win a cup, we should have a decent chance.

yeh I think it may be forgotten as they have all the rest. Perhaps they will remember and decide to give the viewer a choice

I don't think any Newcastle fans will be underestimating Leeds. I'm sure they'll be at us from the first whistle, yes it should be a good match saul.

We have been allocated 4000 tickets with another 2000 should the demand be there.
I should imagine from the talk with Leeds fans we will at least have 5000
in the stadium
