Newcastle United's Haris Vuckic has joined James Tavernier on loan at Rotherham. Tavenier signed a months loan for the club earlier today with Vuckic following him this afternoon where he will stay until early January.
Rotherham manager Steve Evans said of the signing of Vuckic;
"This is a fantastic signing and he is a player we look forward to working with.
He certainly adds a lot of quality to a very talented squad.
We have signed three new players in a week; Nouha Dicko, James Tavernier and now Haris.
I am again grateful to Alan Pardew and Newcastle United Football Club. The lad will train with us and all being well will also be in contention to make his debut on Saturday."
Tavernier said earlier today;
"I played a game for the Newcastle Under twenty-ones on Tuesday and found out then that Rotherham were interested in me and, straight away, I thought it would be a good idea to come and get some games under my belt.
I've had a good welcome from everyone and I've got a really good feeling about this and I can't wait to get on the pitch on Saturday.
Hopefully I can learn something new coming here and I'm really looking forward to it. My Gaffer at Newcastle says it's a short-term loan to get games under my belt and I'll take every game as it comes and see what happens at the end of it.
I can play across the back four and feel really comfortable playing from right-back to left-back and as a centre-half.
Rotherham are on a great run at the minute and in a great position and hopefully I can help push them higher up the league and get them in with a chance of getting promoted."
