It Would Be A Mistake To Write Cisse Off Says Pardew

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has said he believes goal-shy number 9 Papiss Cisse can get back to his goal scoring best, but Pardew appears to be relying on in-form Loic Remy to make sure that happens. Pardew told The Chronicle it would be a mistake to write Cisse off at this time.

He said;

"If you think you Papiss is never going to score again, you’re wildly mistaken.

This guy will go on a run. When he goes on a run, hopefully Remy will still be on his (run), and we’ll have two of them.

At the minute, we have Remy in great form, and let’s keep him there. Fingers crossed he stays there.”

 

Cisse is yet to score in the Premier League this season, but has scored once in the Capital One Cup, whilst Remy has scored 8 goals in 8 games and Yoan Gouffran is proving an excellent choice.

I'm sure he will return to his best sooner or later.
Sooner would be better.

He needs to get back into the team for more than 20 minutes to do it.

However our current line up is working so why change it

he would have scored last week had it not been for a linesman not knowing what offside is
