Distraction Tactics From Arsenal As Pardew Says Cabaye Stays

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has warned clubs like Arsenal and PSG off poaching midfielder Yohan Cabaye in the January transfer window. Cabaye was linked with both clubs last summer - with the tie to Arsenal causing all sorts of problems and once again ahead of the game tomorrow they have been linked with yet another move.  A cynical person may suggest that its just distraction tactics ahead of a big game tomorrow. However, Pardew has nonetheless responded. He said;

"I see the price quoted in the papers but it isn’t our price. We don’t want to sell him, of course we don’t. He is the main man here and he’s got the platform to be the main man at a big club and you don’t get always get that.

He should savour that and take it all the way to France and beyond to the World Cup because if he stays where is now he’s going to be a major influence at the World Cup, I think.

It’s not strange they (Arsenal) were interested in Yohan but in the end they went with Ozil. That’s been particularly good business for them, but I think the better piece of business was us keeping Yohan Cabaye. I’m only focused on my players."

Today the media has been full of reports that Arsenal have had a £12million bid for striker Loic Remy accepted by Queens Park Rangers. Remy is currently half way through a one year loan deal  at Newcastle so again is this another ploy to unsettle Pardews team who Arsene Wenger knowS have been performing well lately? If not its certainly a strange time - the eve before going head to head - to leak it to the press.

The mighty Arsenal ceased being interested in Cabaye months ago, and have moved on. Get over it.

Nobody at arsenal ever expressed any interest in Cabaye, and only Pardew is bringing it up now.

A true cynic would jot that its the Magpies manager who is bigging his own player up just before the match. Wenger has said nothing.

Pardew loves the sound of his own voice!
HE was the one that revealed to everyone that Arsenal made a bid for Cabaye, and he's the one who keeps going on about it! Shut up, man! Arsenal are not interested in Cabaye, he wouldn't get into the Arsenal midfield!

Whoever wrote this appears to have annoyed arsenal fans. Having read it I can't for the life of me see why, but well done anyway.
