Reports are suggesting that Newcastle United have had a loan bid for Luuk De Jong rejected by Borussia Mönchengladbach with the club holding out for a sale. Rumour suggests that Newcastle would be prepared to put in a bid to buy the 23 year old if talks go well. Newcastle were first interested in the striker back in 2012 when he was at FC Twente but have so far not commented on this news.
