Redknapp Advertises Remy Availability

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has put a £15M-£16M price tag on striker Loic Remy but said at the end of the day any sale will be down to the chairman. Redknapp was quoted saying he is surprised that Newcastle haven't lined up a permanent deal for the 27 year old and that if they don't someone else will.
He said;
“You would think they would want to snap him up because if they don’t somebody else will for that money.
We paid £8million and he’s worth double that because the goals he’s scored in the Premier League.
He would be a great player if he came back, but he wanted to go. He’s not going to want to come back here and play in the Championship.
If someone came in and offered £16m for him I would sell him if it was my choice. But it's not, it's down to the chairman."
Remy is currently on a year long loan with Newcastle United. However, Redknapp obviously isn't too confident his side will be promoted as he has indicated that Remy won't want to go back to QPR and be playing Championship football.

In 2008 he claimed the Toon had offered him a job, which Chris Mort (then chairman) refuted.
Then he said that Ba had an escape clause.
Now this.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
If he is available we need to sign him up now, I don't think we could get a better striker in who would be willing to come to us
We shall see and if we could get him for 8-10, then fair enough. Anymore than that, then Im not sure. Not that I have much to back it up, but Im not sure about his attitude. When things are going well then he is band up for it, but I get the feeling that his head could go down. Spat his dummy out at times at marseille and obviously done our legs last January. I dont blame him for that though. I love Newcastle, but if I had money, then London would be a great place to live. Plus QPR were offering 20-40k a week more.
For the moment Im happy he is here, like Cabaye. Beyond that I dont know, but I have seen the bad in both players. Sometimes its better to get out when you are on top like spurs wish they had done with Adebayor.
Would hate Adebayor near my side at the same time...
I can see your point regarding Cabaye and Remy but the reality is they are both class, and more often then not we play better with either of the 2 in the side. Remy has not been scoring but still offers a good outlet up top. I think he will score goals wherever he goes.
Both have had previous regarding petulancy so I can see your reservations
Redknapp is making these comments to try and force newcastle to buy him now, he knows that Remy is never going to play for QPR again and they want the money, buy the time the summer transfer window opens he could have had a poor second half to the season or be a convicted rapist and in jail either way his value will be far less than what they paid for him
