Newcastle United have agreed to extend the loan of Conor Newton to St Mirren until the end of the season. The 21 year old who spent the last half of the 2012/13 season at the club only returned to Newcastle over the summer break before going back to Scotland at the beginning of this season.

St Mirren confirmed the agreement in a very brief statement;

"Conor Newton has this afternoon extended his loan spell with St Mirren until the end of the season."

The midfielder has a 1 year contract with Newcastle which will expire at the end of this season.

i've seen him play a couple of times this season and he seems to be a decent midfielder, i'd like to see him get his contract extended.
