Apparently there is a race to sign Cisse?

In the last half and hour Cardiff City have apparently joined the "race" to sign Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse. It's the first anyone heard of a race to sign the 28 year old and we aren't quite sure who it is against as Cisse has already rejected a move to Turkey. Whilst nothing would surprise Newcastle fans during a transfer window, it would be rather odd if Cisse opted to join Cardiff who are currently bottom of the Premier League rather than take his chances on Tyneside.

 2 hours and 31 minutes and counting of the transfer window left.

Apparently there is a race to sign Cisse?
