Ameobi: We are there to win games and we will!

Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi has refused to be drawn on the clubs off-field problems in the wake of Joe Kinnear's resignation and has said the team are all there to win games and that is what they will do. Alan Pardew partnered Shola and Sammy Ameobi last weekend against Sunderland in what was the first time they had started together in the Premier League. Due to injuries to Yoan Gouffran and Papiss Cisse and the suspension of Loic Remy, Pardew is expected to again start the brothers against Chelsea at the weekend.
Ameobi said;
"In football, there are a lot of different aspects to it. As players, ultimately what we have got to do is concentrate on what we do as a group of guys on the pitch and try and implement what the coaching staff want us to do. That’s our focus, that’s always been the player’s focus.
Obviously a lot of things have been said outside of that, but you just have to remember what we are here for and that’s to win games of football, and that’s what we’ll do this week.”

Go on Shola and Sammy, Astonish us.
God knows we are going to need them come the summer, may as well let them get some experience now.
