A cause for Optimism!
Quiet peasant.

In my day to day life I translate one language into another, hopefully so the reader can understand it in their own language. After years of trying, I believe I have learned to translate Basic Ashley.
Example one:
‘We will have all our signings done by the world cup’.
Actually translates to, season ticket money is due chaps, cough up there’s a good boy.
Example two:
‘The club has to run within it’s own financial limits.’
Well you see the thing is I am quite happy paying nothing for advertising, so juts carry on.
Example three:
‘Player X wants more wages than I am willing to pay’.
What do you mean your not willing to take a zero hour contract and minimum wage?
Example four:
‘The club is not for sale.’
No one is stupid enough to pay me what I will lose in advertising.
I could go on, and often do.
But for anyone interested I shall be running a summer school, and with some application on your part, I am optimistic that you will be speaking fluent Ashley by the time next season begins.
