Newcastle V Montpellier, round 367.
Look two legs

It’s hardly a secret that Montpellier Chairman Louis Nicollin is not exactly a fan of Newcastle. The eccentric Frenchman (you call them that when they are rich, when they are poor; we go for mad as a bucket of frogs.) Has several times in the past knocked our club.
The latest rant came in L’Equipe, and concerned our ongoing attempts to land Remy Cabella.
“I’m happy for Cabella’s call-up, because he’s a great kid,” “This shows the quality of our academy. It is highly probable that I’ll go see all the national team’s games.¨
“I’m happy I didn’t sell him €8M (£6.5M) to Newcastle.”
While I respect a man who is willing to protect his club and want the best for it, it does appear that things are about to get personal yet again.
What this means when or if it comes to negotiations is worth a thought. It can’t be comfortable though.
Also out of France is the news that Debuchy, hasn’t broken his leg, among other people that haven’t broken their leg this morning includes, me (although the morning is young) and a bloke walking along the road.
Of course flippancy aside, this was in response to a rumour that the defender had in fact broken his leg, so assuming he is still our player come August, a bit of good news.
