Hatem Ben Arfa leads the list of a series of players expected to depart Newcastle in the summer.
But prospective clubs have been warned that he won’t be allowed to leave on the cheap. Rarely seen in the later days of last season, the occasionally brilliant HBA was often anonymous, even on the rare occasions Pardew picked him.
Refuting rumours that the player was on his way Qatar earlier in the week, with his agent insisting his client is to remain in Europe.
Sylvain Marveaux, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Gabriel Obertan, will also be offloaded assuming we can find anyone that wants them.
Marveaux in particular has a rather ambitious 3 million price tag placed upon his head, whether anyone will actually meet that price, appears a tad unlikely.
Of course whether these players leave or not, will depend on someone actually wanting them, and does not ease the problem of an already threadbare squad.
So one can only hope that they are being shipped out to make way for new arrivals.
