Another player on the way in?

With what is looking like Mathieu Debuchy’s imminent exit, reports in Italy suggest that we could be already in talks to sign his replacement.

Feyenoord full-back Daryl Janmaat, was thought widely by the Italian press to be Napoli bound, but a club insider stated on RAI:

‘There is no deal in place, we were interested, that is true, but the player has had enquires from England, and would prefer a move there.’

Those enquires are thought to be from Newcastle, who will make a move if and when Debuchy moves.
