Newcastle target wants Toon move!

Long term target Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, is understood to be very keen on a move to St James.

And as such it is thought that Newcastle are ready to return, with a fresh bid in the next few days to prise the Striker away from Lyon.

They were initially put off by Lyon’s valuation of 16 million, but it is hoped that the closer to the beginning of the season it becomes, the more they may be able to negotiate a price closer to their own valuation.

Of course it’s risky playing a waiting game, how many times in the past have we just failed to get a player ‘over the line?’

And there is little arguing that we still desperately need a recognised striker, the fact that the player favours a move can only help in negotiations, however Newcastle may still have to up their valuation and past experience seems to suggest we won’t.
