work to do?

Despite, seemingly wanting to be anywhere but here, Alan Pardew has confirmed in an interview with Radio Newcastle, that he is interested in signing QPR striker Loic Remy.
Remy was a hit, for most of his time on Tyneside, however, his reluctance to join on a permanent basis has stuck in the throats somewhat of some fans, myself included. I have little doubt that he would be a decent signing, but I want players here, that want to play for the club.
Not ones whose previous several million options have fallen through.
That said, there is little arguing that we need a striker, and Remy provides proven quality. He appears to be out of favour at QPR and is not thought to be part of their long term plans and with his move to Liverpool breaking down earlier in the week, Remy is in limbo.
If we offer him the way out, then he has a lot of work to do to win over the majority of fans, however a few goals will more than help.
Pardew speaking to Radio Newcastle stated:
“There is a lot of baggage in the way but of course we are interested.
“He was a great player for us last season and I think Newcastle is a great place for him as well.”

The trouble is he is a bloody good player and will add to the squad.
But yes I would much prefer another option myself.
