Arsenal are set to make a bid for Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote according to various reports today.
Newcastle are thought to be reluctant to sell, but will let the player leave if Arsenal or another club will meet their 8 million valuation.
Arsenal though will face competition with the players representatives willing to discuss terms with various clubs from as far afield as Russia and Spain.

His value seems to have halfed in a season, where he looked to be getting back to his best form.
Its just reporters being lazy, the transfer activity is slowing down so they wheel out the Tiote leaving story like they have done every transfer window since we bought him.
