Ronnie Gets Freedom Of The City Of London

Essex captain and legend Ronnie Irani is to receive the Freedom of the City of London in an ancient ceremony that dates back to 1237. The event is being held at the Guildhall in London.

The event for the England all-rounder is on Wednesday 16th April at 4:00pm and is part of his Benefit year.
It'll be a long day for the adopted Essex man, as it's Essex CCC's Press Day and so he'll be at Chelmsford bright and early at 8:00am. He'll then travel to London for the ceremony for the Freedom of the City of London and the day will finish with a Benefit dinner that evening at the Guildhall.
A busy day for Ronnie, rounded with off with some drinks. Not too many mind Ron, the season starts for real two days later!
