Campbell Going for Goals

On loan QPR striker DJ Campbell believes he is the man to score the goals that will send Town rising up the Npower League Championship table.

The frontman, who scored a fortunate goal with his hands on his debut against Cardiff City at Portman Road says he ie relishing the chance of leading a revival at the club and will enjoy himself in the process.

Speaking to the local press, the former Blackpool man said: “I know I have been brought in to score goals – that’s my job. I’ve always been hard on myself when I miss chances, even when I’m not fit. I expect to score most of the chances that I get and I have done that for most of my career.

“That’s normal pressure to me and I love pressure like that. I love playing football and that’s all I want to do really – play football and enjoy myself and I know I will do that here and hopefully score the goals that will push us up the league.”

Town boss Paul Jewell will be tasked with the decision on Saturday against Hull of if he will stick with Campbell as a loan striker, or recall former Cardiff man Michael Chopra who was left out of the game against Cardiff for off-field reasons.
