Monday Morning Next Boss Odds Update

The latest odds on the candidates in the race to be the next Ipswich Town manager as of 11.00am on Monday 29th October show Mick McCarthy is still leading the pack with George Burley moving to second favourite.
Former Wolves, Sunderland and Republic of Ireland boss McCarthy remains the bookies top tip to take over the reigns at Porman Road, he's currently placed at 4/9 according to Skybet.com. Moving up to second favourite is former Town player and manager George Burley who is now on offer at 3/1.
Former Charlton Athletic and West Ham United boss Alan Curbishley is next in line with odd of 5/1 being quoted with former Ipswich and England defender Terry Butcher also being available at the same price. Former canary Gary Megson is further back with odds of 8/1.
Speculation linking former England and Newcastle skipper Alan Shearer seems not to have resulted in any large backing for the betting public, with the Premier League winner still not widely fancied with odds of 11/1. Former Burnley and Bolton boss Owen Coyle is quoted at 14/1 with former Town defender Frank Yallop at 20/1.
The rest of the field all come in at odds of at least 28/1 with managers such as Karl Robinson, Billy Davies and Alex McLeish commanding those odds. Selected others include Harry Redknapp at 33/1 Steve Kean at 40/1 with former defender Mark Venus, who has declared his interest, and Paul Ince appearing not to have any hope at all at 50/1.
