Higginbotham to Stay For Season

Town's on loan Stoke City defender Danny Higginbotham is to extend his temporary spell at Portman Road until the end of the season.

Confirming the news to the Official Ipswich Town Club Website, Town boss Mick McCarthy said: "Danny is staying with us until the end of the season.

“I know he was disappointed when I left him out of the side but he’s been terrific in his support of the other players.  He’s a vastly experienced player and we’re delighted to have him here.”

A player who will not extend their stay at Town however is Southend's Billy Mohsni who will return to his parent club at the end of the month.

"He’s a lovely guy and has got some good attributes but he simply wasn’t going to get in my team. He goes with our best wishes." said McCarthy in relation to the player.
