Centre Back who signed for Town in the summer of 2012 on a free transfer after turning down a new contract at previous club Nottingham Forest.

The Kettering born 6ft 1in defender came through the ranks at Northampton Town, appearing for the club 150 times in all competitions between 2003 and 2007 before joining Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee in January 2007.

Chambers played over 200 games for Forest over the next five years, although he lost his place in the side for a short spell during 2009/2010. Impressive perfomances in 2010/2011 saw him voted player of the year, being appointed captain the following season.

Established himself as first choice centre back at Portman Road from the beginning of the 2012/2013 season and also captained the side on occasion in the absence of regular skipper Carlos Edwards.
