Sky will be covering the game so the kick off against Rotherham is at 5.00 and we can all enjoy the game then have a few pints ...

Hopefully we will be celebrating our first win of the season against Roth who have won all four of the various encounters this season.

If we do  it will be with a much changed side with Mark Atkinson off to Gloucester and Dan Seal, Ben Gulliver, Aaron Morris, Matt Hankin, Tom Jubb and Scott Spurling all misising - mostly because of injury.

So Jake Sharp returns at fly half, Ollie Dodge on the left wing and Corey Hircock in the centre alongside Mike Le Bourgeois moves to inside centre.
 
In the forwards  Ben Cooper starts at tighthead prop in place of Tomas Gilardon-Paz while Mike Howard comes into the second row for Paul Tupai who moves to the bench.

Rotherham make two changes to the side that beat Plymouth Albion 45-10 at Clifton Lane. In the backs Jamie Broadley comes in on the wing for Curtis Wilson  and at loosehead prop Blackett rotates Marshall Gadd for Robin Hislop.

I don't think we will give you too much to worry about RTID, we have never performed when the cameras have been there, other than against Worcester in THAT semi-final playoff, and with our much changed side I fear the worst, I just hope I'm wrong (Sm128)

Not a bad performance from the Blues, I thought the difference was when Roth were down to 13 we failed to put any points on them and as soon as we went down to 14 they scored 2 tries, very clinical. We butchered some chances in the 1st half, which we should have been well in front from, but that just about summed up our season, some silly mistakes cost us big, Roth deserved the win, we probably deserved a BP for our efforts.

Probably lost to a more accurate, more clinical side today.

However, there's an incident at 46mins where Roth killed the ball in front of their own posts. This was the clearest of all the yellow card offences in the game, but it wasn't given and then we were out of it.

Completely agree, Rotherham deserve their current position. Fast running, good ball passing, many tactical moves. Well done.

Blues a better performance today but many dropped balls and basic errors.

Referee. well he had to do the required number of requests I suppose for confirmation from the tv. What a waste of time for both players and fans.

To the guy who shouted out such an unworthy comment to the lady touch judge, this is not the ethos of Bedford Blues, keep such thoughts to yourself please.

Hi guys, enjoyed my trip to bedford, thought the TMO referrals spoilt the game, and slowed it right down. Roth didn't play as well as the previous two weeks against notts and plymouth, loads of knock ones and forward passes which stopped our attacking intent.

The game boiled down to a lack of getting the basics right.

Knock-ons, missed chances, not supporting in the ruck quickly enough, composure and more importantly to go through more phases and keep the ball in hand.

Perfect example was at the start of the second half. We had a 2 man advantage from the kick-off but chose to kick possession away and give Rotherham the chance to run the clock down.

Job done for Rotherham though who'll fancy their chances in the play-offs!
