Moving Up

Jake Sharp's late try clinched the points and moved us up sixth in the Championship and all of a sudden things are looking a lot better ...

The 25-20 victory was just about right but Jersey were in the lead for a large part of the game and were well worth their bonus point.

They went head very early through a try from Drew Locke. We  then scored a pen followed by a long range one from Jersey's Tommy Bell.

We drew level from the rstart when Pat Tapley was first to a grubber kick.  Pritchard got us another  pen only for Jersey to come back and opt for a line-out which saw scrum half  Nicholas Griffiths spotting a gap.

Jersey were four points ahead and the next try was the important one. It came from Pat Tapley who raced through to go in under the posts.

Jersey came back and  with Martin Garcia-Veiga restolring the lead when he touched down from a driving maul.

The Blues came back all guns firing and we got the win when Sharp sidestepped the cover. Jersey had a late flourish but we held out.
