Another Cup Chance

Cornish Pirates have appealed the decision to award us the points from our first B&I game because of their alleged infringement on the front row rules. Irrespective we go to Rotherham for round three still looking for our first genuine victory of the campaign.

As the league table stands we remarkably have five points from no victories, although that may be reversed if Pirates can convince the authorities that a back is a legitimate front row replacement.

While that goes on the Roth game will be a very difficult test as they have won both their games so far, and have bonus points to boot plus home advantage.

Our approach to the game is to make wholesale changes in the backs -  only Michael Le Bourgeois and Darrell Dyer keeping their places following the home defeat by Cross Keys last week.

Paul Tupai will skipper with Jared Saunders and Justin Blanchet starting in the pack.

Blues:  Jim Wigglesworth, Pat Tapley, Michael Le Bourgeois, Ollie Dodge, Darrell Dyer, Jake Sharp, Darryl Veenendaal, Camilo Parilli-Ocampo, Jared Saunders, James Currie, Mike Howard, Eoin Sheriff, Paul Tupai (captain), Justin Blanchet, Joe Vandermolen.

Reps: TJ Harris,  Phil Boulton,. Harry Wells,  Nick Fenton-Wells,  Peter White,  Steffan Jones,  Viliami Hakalo.

I think it's just squad rotation and Jimmy isn't a bad alternative. I'm more concerned why Billy Moss hasn't featured since Plymouth does anyone know if he's injured.

I guess Pritch will be with the Canada squad for the next month.

Yes, Pritchard named in the Canada Squad so will be probably "out the mix" for all of November. Game dates, 2nd/7th November, then 14th and 22nd. Then he will probably take a couple of weeks off to recover.

But he's back now, quality on the park along with his leadership qualities, just what we need.
