Vital Win

If ever a game can define a season the hard fought 15-10 win over Yorkshire Carnegie may be it ...
It was a veritable eight pointer, but more importantly it was the wholehearted way we approached the game, and the effort we put into defence, which bodes well.
The same cohesion and will to win hasn't been apparent in some other games this campaign - now the guys have set themselves a benchmark.
Our scrum worked well all game without creating too many kickable penalties.
Instead it was tries from Darry Veenendaal and Jim Wigglesworthh which earned the win.
Darryl's came after we took a Carnegie line-out five metres from their line and the scrum half went through a blindside gap.
In the second half a similar position, following a penalty kick to the corner, saw the ball spun out for Wiggelsworth take an inside ball and go in under the posts.
