Team for Roth

All of a sudden the idea of a play-off place isn't looking so daft and a win at Rotherham would do those ambitions a power of good ...
We travel north as the team in form after our series of wins while Roth have lost their last two games. A win would put us into fifth place - a remarkable turnaround.
However, games at Clifton Lane are never easy and Mike Rayer is trying to keep things fresh and competitive with a number of changes. Director of Rugby Rayer takes the opportunity to rotate things a little so Henry Staff Steffan Jones, Viliami Hakalo, and Pete White all start in the backs.
In the pack TJ Harris, Phil Boulton, Harry Wells and Joe Vandermolen all start.
Reps: Charlie Clare, Tom Williams, James Currie, Ben Gulliver, Josh Buggea, Darryl Veenendaal, Michael Le Bourgeois

Looks like we have gone for a strong bench. Thought Dodge might have been included somewhere for his extra power on the narrow pitch.

Rotherham seated prices seem dearer than The Blues at £21 against £20 BUT if your a OAP like me it's cheaper at £15.......

I'd still be happy with sixth this season, really, that would be about our level at this time.

Obviously a disappointing result, but we were very competitive in this. We were not competitive against Roth at home and, perhaps, we should measure our improvement by that.
All well and good having a strong bench, but any impact was minimised by mistakes and playing against the worsening elements in the second half.

we are mid table in a competitive league, win some lose some quality rugby being played, what is there to complain about (except for Rotherham being very cold).

Poor handling, poor defence, poor game management and too many changes. One observation that I did make was total lack of respect between a few of our bench players and the fitness coach during a warm up session in the 2nd half. What does that tell you.......

It would be nice to get the logic behind Mikes thinking on making so many changes. I understand Jake had a back problem but as far as I know no one else was injured.
With Roth's recent form I thought this was a game we could have won, if we hadn't made so many changes.

As I said I thought that we would win by 10 - changes for me needed to be made Peter White needed a chance - did he play well? We should not be afraid of making changes we need to bring players on for next season - we are safe from relegation

Peter White had a good game and scored a really good try. As I see it the problem with making too many changes is that it disrupts the stability of a team. This is why I believe we went
14-0 down in the first 10 minutes.
Top 6 would be good, I'd have taken that after the first couple of games this season.
