Yellow nightmare for Blues

Two Tries Tupai

The last thing you need when you're facing a side at the top of the league is a torrent of yellow cards -specially when they all come at once.

Bristol were good value for the 38-14 win which once again takes them above Warriors.

But the Blues played with more conviction than they have of late, and would have done even better if they'd hadn't fallen foul of ref Steve Lee.

We were trailing 14-0, but putting up a good fight, when the cards came just after the half hour.

Nick Fenton-Wells was first carded for entering a ruck from the side, then Harry Wells went for pulling down a ruck followed three minutes later when James Pritchard was judged to have deliberately knocked on.

Down to 12 we conceded from a five metre scrfum and went in 19-0 down and then again at the start of the second.

There was a mountain to climb and we came back with a brace from Paul Tupai within the space of five minutes.

Unfortunately, he was then singled out for a card after a mass brawl, and that didn't help as the home side took advantage with their fullback going over for the last try .

I think so, he looks after himself and I think he's played nearly every game this season.
