Blues Sign Hooker

Mike Rayer has acted quickly to replace stricken hooker Sam James. Kiwi Nathan Vella has joined the Blues on a short contract from London Welsh ..

The unlucky  James broke his ankle in the warm up for the tremendous win at Brisol and will be out for some time.
 
  25-year-old Vella played for Auckland  in 2011 and 2012. He can also play in the back row and is England qualified through grandparents.
