What a way to start the New Year. Scottish are the perfect January 1st visitors and let's hope they've been celebrating Hogmanay in style ..

The game is live on Sky, which means you can watch it aghain when your head is more clear and the kick off is 3.05 - no doubt for the adverts.

We are in some form having disposed of  Moseley on Boxing Day and there are four changes with Tom Griffiths and Jake Sharp starting at inside centre and fly half with Charlie Clare and Phil Boulton at hooker and tighthead prop.

Blues: 15. Piers O’Conor  14. Pat Tapley 13. Michael LeBourgeois 12. Tom Griffiths 11. George Perkins 10. Jake Sharp 9. Henry Taylor
1. Alex Lundberg 2. Charlie Clare 3. Phil Boulton 4. Mike Howard 5. Mark Flanagan 6. Josh Buggea 7. Nick Fenton-Wells (c) 8. Joel Conlon

Bench:  16. Tom Williams  17. Biyi Alo  18. Justin Blanchet 19. Paul Tupai  20. Jordan Burns  21. Myles Dorrian  22. Steffan Jones

Well he may not have asked for one. Anyway Happy New Year to everyone. Looks like a strong line up, was a bit worried about Bolts but I think he had a good game against Bristol. Should be good looking forward to it.

Bolton made the difference second half at Moseley. Notice no Saracens DR's (Morris or Nathan Earle) in LS team

HNY. Phil had his best game of the season. We looked very good on TV and the presenters and commentators were very complimentary of the Blues tight 5 and our pace in the backs. A completely different team to last season, fitter, faster and stronger. Great win, enjoy the night

Enjoyed a fantastic sporting event today at GR firstly where we're the LS supporters.....apart from the dreaded bagpiper...

....second please explain the yellow card and the penalty try. From where we were the decision seemed.....'odd'

Penalty try was nonsense. TMO on the pop methinks.

Compo- if it wasn't for the high tackle (which it wasn't) he would have scored. That's why the yellow card was given. Watching it on TV it wasn't a deliberate high tackle and the commentators thought the decision was a bit harsh.

Highlights of the game are on YouTube, from a LS perspective so you get all their tries three times......

The yellow card was a farce, a lot worst went on during the game..........which was on the whole a clean game......

Yes a shame the highlights were put up by Scottish , looked like we were hardly in it , comedy last try , where has the common sense that seemed to emerge in the World Cup gone ? Had the tmo ever played the game ?
