Slight drop of pace in the backs, no Flanagan and no idea why. Good bench so let's get it on, COYB.

With Dorrian, Dodge and Blanchet we've gone for more power in the backs.

Good to see Currie back. We've coped well in his absence.

So where is Flanagan?

Perhaps Mr. Rayer does not want him in the shop window

After all they did come looking for 3 of our squad last season

Mind you only one of the three is in the squad tomorrow

Is the game on TV? Good news to see Currie back and yes leaving Flanagan out is an odd one.

I hope I got that right............at 17/10.....we are the same price as an England player getting a yellow card against Scotland.......

Nothing is odd about MRs team selections - we only think it is odd cause we know nothing

I can see the reasoning, Nottingham now play at a ground which floods and can get quite boggy and it might not be a great surface for constant running rugby. So the game could be kept a bit tighter so you want players who are better getting over the gain line.

I don't see Nottingham as 1-2 favourites, but do feel we will miss Flanagan. He is a major contender for most influential player of the season. Second rows a bit thin on the ground now and forwards likely to be important in the upcoming clashes.
Donny only managed a draw at Ealing today, so, with us 9 places ahead of Nottingham in fifth and close to Donny in third, tomorrow's is a season defining game.
Weather likely to be miserable. Doesn't help our cause. I shall not be deterred.

Leeds win too and get a bonus so think they go 3 with Blues to 4th, but could be wrong. Top 4 starting to pull away a bit now

Blues stay 3rd by virtue of wins.

We did well to win that one! Turning around against a strong wind 3-3 we could've been in trouble. We scored 2 quick tries but then let them back in by a bit of silly play twice.

Though Nottingham let us back in it by taking 3 points, but the try we scored was through a lot of patient build up.

Worryingly both Le Boj and Adamson (carried off) knocked each other out so will be doubtful for Jersey.

Let's hope it's not too serious TryBlues, it will leave us a bit light in the backs. Perhaps Skippy back for the weekend?unless he's injured too as he didn't feature for the A's yesterday. Anyway great win so well happy!

Pritchard was recalled back 2 weeks ago. He did the water last week against Welsh.

Just got back; le Boog walked off dazed, but Dean was carried off after a protracted period of attention from the medics. No idea how serious, hopefully precautionary. Appears doubtful for both next week.

The match was tight on a heavy pitch. I thought Nottingham were good in defence and better in the breakdown turning us over too many times. The try from Sam Blanchett was quite amazing, can't wait to see on utube. He took the hard option to cut inside with defenders on him, but just went for it and touched down right under the posts, at the end stacked with Blues fans, to great applause. Great end to the match.

I followed the game at home, an amazing result.........in the past I have like many other Blues fans travelled back from Nottingham following defeats .......some inflicted at the death, so this result helps evens the score......

......prior to the game the bookies had reduced The Blues odds to 12/1 to win the Championship.....what odds now I wonder.........for Mike Rayer's mighty men?

massive win and one which should give the players massive confidence that they can Maul with the best of them.

We have a very hard run in so we need to turn Jersey and Rotherham over then that will just about secure 4th spot.

MOM was impossible to pick, no one stood out the hits in the centres were massive along with the whole pack.

Small update on the injuries to Dean and Booj, I understand both are OK just precaution.

Mark F travelled and confirmed is under the knife this week knee, only key hole so was hopeful of only 3-4 weeks out

Interesting to read the Nottingham perspective on their forum:

"Beak: How did we lose that? We dominated pretty much most of the match and went down to a sucker blow at the end. It was very good finish by Bedford but was the pass forward? Also the ref missed a knock on in the build up but really we should have had the game sown up by then. We conceded 2 very soft tries from rolling mauls at the start of the 2nd half but gradually took control again but could not find the killer blow. On the plus side it shows just how competitive we are.

BrIcKtOp: We attacked very laterally & was easy to defend against in the first half. We literally played Bedford in the game by not taking points from 3 kick-able penalties & 2 yellow cards for them we should of been 15-20pts up at half time also how was the deliberate knock on a not a third yellow card ??? Their late change at 9 was a game changer he passed the ball a little wider & pulled our defense out of shape, our back row for me didn't slow the ball down at the breakdown & won very little turnover ball ???

Goody gum drops: Agree with comments already made- we should have been ahead at half time and completed a win at the end. The team can complement themselves for a very competitive performance - Dan Mugford for me was excellent especially second half. As I remember things Bedford scored twice when they passed to their right where there was two on two and lots of space. Our tackles weren't made. Lessons to be learnt to avoid repitions in the future? On another matter we had to hear from the stand a loathsomely rude Bedford standing supporter who interrupted play with his extended unintelligent comments and mocked Nottingham supporters aloud after Bedford scored at the end. No room for this"

Before you ask, no it wasn't me, I was at home (on call this week) following on Twitter. If he was on the coach then I'm sure people know who he is.

What an incredible last 5 minutes they must have gone through 20 phases. Sam got MOM but I think White and Sharp made the difference when they came on. PW passing was much more accurate and we seemed to control the mid field much more. Not sure who the prat in the crowd was but agree people like that are not needed. Well done boys great win and glad to hear Booj and Dean are okay.
